About Sabhyata: Timeless Prints, Indian Roots

Sabhyata’s story started in 2021, when Mr. Chintan Vora realized there is a gap in the market for vibrant prints bags. His inquisitiveness and curiosity further led him to explore in the market and he noticed there is tremendous potential in Indian artworks, carrying the rich legacy of Indian culture. He translated Indian artworks into modern and contemporary¬ bags so that it can be part of everyday lives of women.

The brand “Sabhyata” is an ode to India’s rich heritage and craftsmanship. All the materials are proudly sourced from India and handcrafted to perfection by Indian artisans from all parts of country.

Floral Haathi

The border reflects Rajwadi patterns, symbolizing prosperity. The design includes floral motifs, layered borders, geometric and organic patterns, contrasting colors, and nature-inspired elements. The brand Sabhyata adapts these traditional elements into modern fashion.

Abstract Ethnic Art

This symbolic language of African textile heritage is a rich tapestry of geometric shapes, particularly in West Africa. These patterns, reminiscent of mountain peaks and strength, dance alongside golden dots, reflecting life's precious moments and community bonds. The deep reds and warm oranges display the Earth's vitality, while chevron patterns tell stories of life's continuous journey. Sabhyata takes these patterns and makes a craft that inspires us every day.

African Tribal Art

The artwork is of African tribal art and dance, featuring figures in traditional African attire and dynamic movements. It features geometric border patterns, silhouetted figures, a savanna landscape with acacia trees, and a color palette typical of African art. Although it may confuse some, both African and Indian art traditions share common elements like bold geometric patterns, vibrant color palettes, and cultural representation through dance and movement.

Traditional Mandala Art

This detailed mandala design reflects the timeless artistry of India's Rajwadi heritage, where geometry meets culture. Rooted in palace murals and royal textiles, the vibrant patterns signify harmony, abundance, and tradition. Designers at Sabhyata incorporate historical motifs, modernizing them to resonate with contemporary aesthetics.

Indian Folk Paisley Art

This paisley design, known as "Kairi" in Indian tradition, is a timeless motif symbolizing fertility, life, and prosperity. Historically adorned on royal textiles, it originates from Mughal-era artistry and Rajwadi ethnic patterns, often seen in regal attire and palace decor. Sabhyata's designers revived this heritage, infusing vivid colors and intricate swirls to echo the grandeur of India's past. Their creations connect history with modern fashion, celebrating the elegance of India's cultural legacy.

Artistic Peacock

This vibrant design draws inspiration from Indian history, where peacocks symbolize grace and prosperity, often depicted in royal murals and palace gardens. Rooted in Rajwadi ethnic patterns, its bold florals and intricate swirls replicate the grandeur of traditional Indian craft. The designers of Sabhyata espoused these motifs. We blend them with contemporary aesthetics to celebrate India's regal heritage. We transform timeless traditions into modern expressions of cultural pride.

Signature Sabhyata Art

This picture shows off classic Indian Madhubani art vibes and folk designs, with decorative patterns, bright colors, and geometric shapes. The artwork has traditional elements like paisley patterns (which they call "boteh" or "ambi"), dotted borders, and fancy jewelry details that are typical of Indian classical art. But you can see that this piece pulls a lot from the old-school Indian art traditions, especially the ones linked to Rajasthani and Madhubani folk art styles.

Indian Banjara Women

This design showcases three women in traditional Indian folk art style, inspired by ancient miniature paintings and folk art traditions. It reflects rural life scenes and women's social gatherings. The geometric border patterns showcase cultural fusion in Indian decorative arts, preserving authentic elements and storytelling.

Brown Clam Buddha

The design reflects the spiritual heritage of Indian Buddhist art, with a serene Buddha set against a geometric mandala background. The monochromatic Buddha contrasts with the illuminated Buddha accompanied by the lotus flower and symbolizes the development of the representation of Buddhism in Indian culture. Modern designers at Sabhyata use these sacred patterns and symbols in modern fashion while keeping their spiritual meaning and cultural authenticity intact

Purple Calm Buddha

It reflects the historical connection between Buddhism's origins in India and its artistic expressions. The design incorporates elements from Buddhist iconography, Indian textile patterns, and Indian aesthetic preferences, demonstrating the harmonious integration of spiritual and decorative arts

Turkish Paisley

The design has a Paisley or "Boteh" pattern, known as "Ambi" in India, highlighting its significance in Indian textile heritage. It has detailed teardrop motifs in vibrant colors like yellow and turquoise against a navy background. The Paisley pattern, originating in Persia, became important in India during the Mughal era and was used in royal garments. The image's background is a classic Rajwadi pattern. Sabhyata's modern take preserves cultural authenticity while adding contemporary colors and bold outlines. The design connects heritage with modern fashion.

Royal Elephant

This design epitomizes the rich heritage of Indian royal traditions, especially from Rajasthan, where elephants are symbols of royal grandeur. The elephant's attire has intricate mandala patterns and floral motifs, reflecting Rajasthani textile art. It shares visual similarities with Indian patterns but is distinctly African in design language. Key elements include specific geometric arrangements, bold color combinations, repetitive tribal motifs, and overall layout.

Trippy Triangle Pattern

These patterns reflect Native American or Mexican textile design traditions rather than Indian patterns. The repeating triangular motifs in bright pink, yellow, turquoise, and orange arranged in horizontal bands are characteristic of indigenous patterns from North and Central America, particularly seen in traditional Navajo, Mexican, or other Southwestern textile designs. Sabhyata's designers, inspired by this legacy, transformed heritage into modern couture. A blend of history and style, these patterns narrate tales of royal Indian splendor.
